Surprise forest credits move sees market rise

The domestic market traded up this morning on news that the Government plans to stop owners of post-1989 forests from using Kyoto credits to meet exiting obligations.
Spot NZUs closed at $3.10 on CommTrade last night, but opened at $3.14 this morning as news of the Government’s plans leaked through the market.
