Big players put cases to ETS select committee

The select committee hearing submissions on the emissions trading bill is in for an interesting day today, with energy producers, users and lobbyists lining up to make submissions.
Contact Energy set the tone for the day by releasing a public statement describing the ETS as having the potential to significantly increase investment in clean, renewable electricity generation projects and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the sector.
