Carbon price cancels out CCS potential

A potentially lucrative industry in the underground storage of carbon dioxide is being stymied by almost negligible carbon prices.

The technology has existed for decades, and New Zealand has suitable storage fields, but while carbon is priced at just a few cents a tonne, there is no financial incentive for development.
