Renewable energy can be a reality in Pacific

Just over a week ago the Pacific Energy Summit was held in Auckland attended by a large number of energy stakeholders including Pacific Islands government delegations headed by leaders, as well as participants from development partners such as the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, the US, Japan and other countries.
The main purpose of the Summit was for Pacific Island countries to outline their medium to long term energy plans as well as key issues or constraints which impeded implementation of renewable energy in their island countries.
