While difficult and complex, the synergy between these two markets allowed for a large opportunity to New Zealand’s forestry industry to invest additional resources into addressing wood production, but also to offset carbon emissions, whether in New Zealand or Australia – guided, of course, by the principles and procedures of the Kyoto Protocol.
