Officials sort out Kyoto withdrawal

Government officials are working out the implications of New Zealand’s withdrawal from the Kyoto Protocol.
In December, the COP18 meeting in Doha voted to exclude New Zealand, Japan and Canada from international carbon credits generated under the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol after all three countries said they would not sign up to the second period.
