Right food vital, say UN experts

Countries must take immediate action to promote sustainable diets and food biodiversity to improve the health of their citizens, says the United Nations food agency in a new book.
“Regardless of the many successes of agriculture in the last three decades, it is clear that food systems and diets are not sustainable,” says Food and Agriculture Organisation officer Barbara Burlingame, in the preface to Sustainable Diets and Biodiversity.
