Report lists banks as coal’s ‘Filthy Five’

The largest banks in the United States, including Bank of America, have been listed in a new report’s “Filthy Five” as major financiers of the coal industry.


The banks are named by the Rainforest Action Network and the Sierra Club in their Coal Finance Report Card 2012, their third annual ranking of the largest financiers of mountaintop removal coal mining and coal-fired power plants.
