Businesses face bill for greenhouse gasses

Hundreds of businesses in the Bay Area of San Francisco could soon be asked to pay for the greenhouse gases they create if the air regulators approve a first-of-its kind plan next month.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District wants to charge businesses — from dry cleaners to oil refineries — 4.4 cents per ton of carbon dioxide emitted.
