Solar giant plans huge plant in WA

Perth-based Verve Energy and BP Solar, one of the world’s largest solar companies, have announced plans to build Australia’s largest grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant near Geraldton, Western Australia.
The A$58 million, 10 megawatt Greenough River Solar Farm will produce 28 GWh of electricity per annum and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25,000 tonnes per year -the equivalent of taking 5000 cars off the road.
