Has Australian cabinet hit on quick carbon fix?

The Australian Government has agreed to a climate-change policy based on a series of measures, including a commitment to set an interim carbon price that it will introduce over the next two years, says a national newspaper.
The government will outline a set of "core principles" on which it will develop its post-2012 strategy - the most important of which will be a commitment to a market-based system for reducing carbon emissions, the Australian Financial Review reports.
