UN bans Bulgaria from carbon trading

Bulgaria will be banned from carbon emission trading as of June 30 after a United Nations body opened a procedure to revoke its accreditation under the Kyoto Protocol.
The move, expected to be approved at the end of June, will exclude Bulgarian companies from European Union's carbon trading scheme, Environment Minister Nona Karadzhova told an energy forum yesterday.
