No climate deal this year, says UN climate chief

Outgoing United Nations climate chief Yvo de Boer believes there will be no comprehensive climate treaty this year, saying that a major UN conference in December would yield only a first answer on curbing greenhouse gases.
His comments came this week just five months after the Copenhagen climate conference failed to yield much progress despite efforts by world leaders, including President Barack Obama.
