Harmonisation not the way, says expert

An international expert on emissions trading says that detailed harmonisation of the New Zealand scheme with that of Australia is not necessary or desirable.
Dr Suzi Kerr has told Parliament’s finance and expenditure select committee that while linkage to the Australian scheme will deepen the market for credits and improve liquidity, that doesn’t mean the two countries should harmonise the allocation of free units.
