Legal tangle awaits amended climate bill

The Government might have scored an own goal in its haste to push through its climate change amendment bill.
A spokesman for climate change minister Nick Smith confirmed to Carbon News that the amendment bill includes clauses to amend the principal act to reflect New Zealand’s obligations, whatever they may be, stemming from the upcoming climate change convention in Copenhagen.
