Papers show initial ETS costs as high as $500m

The Government’s changes to the Emissions Trading Scheme will cost $400m to $500m between now and the end of 2012, according to just-released Cabinet papers.
A report to the Cabinet Economic Growth and Infrastructure Committee on amendments to the scheme are among an avalanche of documents released by Climate Change Issues Minister Nick Smith today.
