Aussie farmers call for carbon trading exemption

Australia's peak farm body has urged the Rudd Government to follow the lead of all developed nations and permanently rule out including agriculture in its carbon trading scheme.
The National Farmers' Federation said the US, UK, Canada, Japan and countries in Europe had already ruled out covering their direct agricultural emissions under a cap and trade system, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
