India says no to legally binding emissions

India will not succumb to any international pressure on committing to a legally binding agreement on cutting greenhouse emissions but will deal with climate change issues according to its own plans, a state minister says.
Environment and Forest Minister Jairam Ramesh said that under no international agreement will India accept "legally binding mitigations" of greenhouse gas which could hamper the country's development and progress.
