Conservation land open for voluntary carbon market schemes

The government is to open up the Crown-owned conservation estate to private investment in voluntary carbon market projects.
Details have yet to be published in a new, lower-cost New Zealand ‘pathway’ to voluntary carbon market accreditation, but the broad brushstrokes were laid out in an announcement yesterday by the Associate Environment Minister, Andrew Hoggard.
