Climate law change spanner in the works for Waitangi Tribunal Inquiry

The Government’s controversial changes to New Zealand’s legal framework for climate policy have thrown a spanner in the works for a long-running Waitangi Tribunal Inquiry into climate change.
Claimants to the Climate Change Priority Kaupapa Inquiry believe the Government has not acted in good faith in making a raft of significant changes to climate policy without consultation while the hearing has been underway, most recently rushing through significant changes to the Climate Change Response Act.
