The Government and the Labour Party are refusing to comment on progress for an emissions trading scheme deal.
Climate Change Minister Dr Nick Smith and Labour climate change spokesman Charles Chauvel met again this week to discuss the prospect of a joint position, but neither will say how talks are going.
