Climate impacts hit NZ with increasing wild weather

New Zealand is facing a triple whammy of climate impacts today, with severe winds and rainfall predicted for much of the country while some areas are still dealing with wildfires ignited earlier in the week.
Metservice has issued a rare ‘red’ weather warning with winds up to 200km/ph predicted, with flight delays and cancellations for both Wellington and Christchurch airport, all trains in the Wellington region cancelled, and bus and ferry services also affected.
