Coal imports are up 650% as generators stockpile the most polluting fossil fuel ahead of next winter.
While the latest energy emissions show a continued downward trend, some of the gains are most likely due to the recession rather than to industrial decarbonisation, according to new data from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
