Land use seen as vital to fixing climate toll

The world cannot effectively address climate change without altering people’s relationship with soil, the world’s third largest carbon pool, says a new report.
Changing the way people manage land and produce food can offset 25 per cent of worldwide fossil fuel emissions, putting agriculture and land use near the centre of the climate change fight, a report from Worldwatch Institute and Ecoagriculture Partners says.
