Reserve Bank wins international award for work on climate-related risk

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand - Te Pūtea Matua scooped two awards at this year’s Central Banking awards, including one for its “pioneering” work on climate stress testing.
But it remains to be seen whether the bank will continue with climate stress testing under new leadership, with the focus on climate attracting criticism, and a new governor still to be appointed following former governor Adrian Orr’s shock resignation earlier this month.
