Carbon rules make it hard, says airline industry

Carbon trading and increased regulation could hinder efforts to reduce aircraft greenhouse gas emissions through innovation and increased use of biofuels, airline industry leaders said this week.
Aircraft account for an estimated 2per cent to 4 per cent of global carbon dioxide emissions, which scientists say could cause global temperatures to rise, triggering widespread disease, famine, flooding and drought.
