Carbon starts firm, then weakens

Carbon tracked the energy complex and started the day very firm, hitting a three-month high on firm German electricity prices, but slipped later in the day as energy prices weakened with oil leading the decline, broker OMFinancial reports.
There was some divergence within the carbon market; European allowances (EUAs) managed to eek out a small gain on the day, whilr CERs were slightly weaker.
