NZ Steel seeks suspension of ETS

The stakes are high for NZ Steel as it contemplates the impact that its presentation to the ETS review committee last week might have had.
Tony Wright, NZ Steel vice-president of human resources and external affairs, told Carbon News that if the committee does not accept his company’s recommendations, it could lead to a progressive reduction in NZ Steel’s international competitiveness and the eventual closure of the business.
