Australia move could cut agriculture from ETS

Aligning New Zealand’s emissions trading scheme more closely with that of Australia could mean an indefinite delay to bringing agriculture into the scheme, opening this country to charges of unfair subsidies, Greenpeace says.
Yesterday Climate Change Minister Nick Smith and his Australian counterpart, Senator Penny Wong, announced terms of reference to explore harmonising the design of the Australian Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme and the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme.
