Govt setting bad example, says UN award winner

The scaling back of government green initiatives is setting a bad example for the private sector, says a Wellington environmental consultancy that has just been recognised by the United Nations.
Sempre Avanti managing director Gordon Shaw says that cutting of five Ministry for the Environment programmes is part of a world-wide trend that is making it difficult for companies like his to advocate for action on emission and environmental responsibility from the private sector.
