Include biochar in ETS, urges top scientist

World-renowned Australian scientist Professor Tim Flannery says that biochar technology – acknowledged as possibly our greatest chance of reducing atmospheric carbon – should be included in New Zealand’s emissions trading scheme.
Flannery – a leading science writer and thinker and an acclaimed environmentalist and explorer – hopes to talk to the New Zealand government this month about the potential of biochar technology.
