Business group to push for interim green tax

The prospect of delaying the emissions trading scheme and introducing a green tax as an interim measure is being raised by a major business group.
In a draft submission for the review of the ETS, seen by Carbon News, Business New Zealand says that being the first country in the world to introduce a comprehensive ETS will put New Zealand’s economy at significant risk and could result in the loss of tens of thousands of jobs.
