New ceramics slash fuel costs, emissions

New ceramic technology could cut commercial vehicle fuel costs and carbon emissions by as much as 20%, according to a study by Australia’s Murdoch University.
Developed by Mtech Australia and called Mtech Fuel Saver, the technology involves a ceramic powder, housed in a cylinder, which breaks fuel droplets into smaller molecules, resulting in more efficient combustion with lowered fuel consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases.
