Parker: Full trans-Tasman ETS harmonisation only one option

EXCLUSIVE - New Zealand does not need to integrate its emissions trading scheme (ETS) with Australia’s for it to work efficiently, Climate Change Minister David Parker told Carbon News yesterday.
Parker was responding to a claim aired in Carbon News last week from Opposition climate change spokesperson Nick Smith that the New Zealand ETS needed to be integrated with Australia’s to a degree that reflected the existing integration of the respective economies under Closer Economic Relations (CER).
