A leading New Zealand sustainable energy and climate mitigation expert is pessimistic about COP27, fearing that delegates will not make enough progress on crucial issues where urgent action is already long overdue.
Ralph Sims, Professor of Sustainable Energy at Massey University, Centre for Energy Research, and lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for five major climate mitigation reports, is a veteran of climate conferences.
