E-bikes schemes get a boost in Ireland and Denver

A recent report revealed that the New Zealand government has subsidised Tesla drivers to the tune of $30 million so far this year as part of it clean car discount scheme. In contrast the owners of the most popular electric vehicle on the road, e-bikes, have received nada.
It's a different story overseas. In the last few days alone there's been reports of Ireland extending its e-bike subsidy to cargo bikes, and the success of Denver's e-bike subsidy.
Tax incentive of €3,000 aims to boost use of cargo bikes by families
Families are being encouraged to buy cargo bikes with a new €3,000 (NZ$5190) tax incentive which is contained in the Finance Bill.

When Denver started offering a rebate for residents to buy electric bikes, the city thought that the funding would last for three years. Instead, so many people wanted to participate that it was gone in six months.
