LAST year, the UK government’s own climate change advisers, the Climate Change Committee, said that demand for flying must fall if the UK is to meet its climate commitments.
Naturally, the government responded with a “Jet Zero” strategy last month that will see demand for flying grow by up to 70 %, with decarbonisation relying on technology that most experts say is unproven or underdeveloped.
