Government must balance potential costs of reducing gas

A Cabinet paper on the Government’s development of the Gas Transition Plan says it must reduce the use of gas but balancing the potential costs in doing that will require shifting priorities over time.
The timeline also places completion of the gas plan after the next election and the wider Energy Strategy not until the end of 2024.
