Delaying the emissions trading scheme is costing New Zealand the chance to be the major Asian carbon market hub, says a leading New Zealand trader.
“It’s there for us to take, but it’s slipping through our fingers,” OMFinancial’s Nigel Brunel told Carbon News. “We are a bit of a joke in Europe at the moment.”
