Councils take aim at climate crisis

MORE local authorities are taking aim at the climate crisis, with Queenstown Lakes District Council and Hamilton City Council both adopting climate policies yesterday.
Queenstown Lakes District Council’s (QLDC) Climate and Biodiversity Plan sets out its response to climate change and biodiversity loss over the next three years. One of its goals is to reduce the district’s greenhouse gas emissions by 44% by 2030.
