ETS uncertainty worries geothermal developers

Uncertainty over the future of the emissions trading scheme and the thermal generation moratorium is casting doubt over the development of new geothermal projects in the Bay of Plenty.
Ngati Awa chief executive Jeremy Gardiner, who in September raised concerns about the impact the ETS could have on the value of Treaty of Waitangi settlements, yesterday told Carbon News that the current uncertainty over the scheme was not good for business.
