Across Europe, the War in Ukraine is forcing states to reconsider how they source their energy. Some see a rare opportunity to affect meaningful progress on climate change.
On Wednesday, European leaders accused Russia of “gas blackmail” after Russian energy group Gazprom cut off its natural gas supply to Poland and Bulgaria. The de facto embargo was in protest of the two countries refusing to pay for their gas in Russian Rubles.
