Carbon remains bearish

Weaker energy markets contributed to another fall in the carbon price on Friday, with electricity prices being one of the main drivers on the day, broker OMFinancial reports.
However, the bearishness in carbon appears to be entrenched, largely due to the recession fears in the market, which were confirmed on Friday after the euro zone inflation rate fell to an annualised 3.2 percent, boosting expectations of a rate cut as they try and cushion the effects of the recession.
