Power, coal prices keep carbon down

The carbon market weakened again on the back of weak electricity prices in Germany and a slumping coal price, OMFinancial reports.
Oil rallied slightly but remains bearish. Normally, cheap coal rallies the carbon price but many utilities are not in a position to switch over from cleaner gas to dirtier coal as many have already hedged future requirements at this point.
