Happy holliday makers about to have their carbon footprints measured
New Zealand's $18.6 billion a year tourism sector is about to have its carbon footprint measured.
The move to find a way of measuring the greenhouse gas emissions of an entire sector, then find practicable ways of lowering it, is revealed in a request for proposals, just issued by the Tourism Ministry and its parent department the Ministry for Economic Development.
