Shaw talking tough on carbon budgets

THE CLIMATE Change Commission could be given the ability to manage carbon prices if its carbon budget recommendations are not followed by politicians, the climate minister says.
James Shaw is also hinting that New Zealand’s 2030 emissions reduction target will rise, and that the Government could get more prescriptive about methane cuts.
