Recession fears drive carbon down

Carbon was driven lower overnight initially by oil but also reportedly fell on fears a recession is building within Europe which may impact carbon prices on the back of lower energy prices in general, OM Financial reports.
Prices in coal, electricity, gas and oil all fell. The main recession argument is that with less demand for energy from users – this will equate to surplus carbon credits in the market.
