NEW ZEALAND’S greenhouse gas emissions could be about a fifth lower this year than last year because of covid-19, an international science consortium says.
But Climate Action Tracker continues to rank the country’s performance on climate change as insufficient, despite a recent toughening up of the Emissions Trading Scheme and the passing of carbon-zero legislation.
