ONE OF NEW ZEALAND'S biggest greenhouse gas emitters is closing operations in New Zealand, potentially cutting the country’s emissions by more than 1.5 million tonnes a year.
Carbon markets are this morning working to understand the impact of the sharemarket announcement by Bluff aluminium smelter operator New Zealand Aluminium Smelters it was beginning wind-up operations because the plant is no longer viable.s
