BRICKS, concrete and other construction materials could one day be made from recycled PVC, waste plant-fibre or sand, thanks to a remarkable new kind of rubber polymer.
Flinders University chemist Associate Professor Justin Chalker says the polymer, made from sulphur and canola oil, can be compressed and heated with fillers to make construction material of the future.
